How it works?
The Masthead unit invites users to play an interactive game. In the game you have to be a real villain and crack the safe lock to release the car. Users can select how they want to navigate the game – using a mouse or a paired phone. Once selected, the lock needs to be rotated left or right to find the right numbers and crack it. Sounds easy, right? Well, the difficulty level is quite high, we must note! Once unlocked, one can enter the competition in the high score board to win driving experience with the new F-TYPE R Coupe.
The game itself has been created using HTML5 platform and hosted on the Jaguar’s website as part of the campaign. To attract more users to play it Spark44 created a difficult mechanism and embedded the game into HTML5 Youtube Masthead. As a result, users across different platforms and devices were able to access the banner and play the game.
Although the Youtube masthead banner only ran for a short period of time, you can still experience the Lockmaster challenge here.
The experience is highly engaging and addicting, also perfectly reflecting the main message of the whole campaign. The way Jaguar and Spark44 challenged themselves to master the technology and bring their audience the best experience also fits into the whole campaign in a very nice way.
