The campaign is aimed at the customers and prospect customers of a Carlsberg owned drink called Festis. The dring is a non-alcoholic bevarage and is being promoted by a slogan “Unbore Everything”. And in this particular instance “Unbore Grandpa”. The aim of the digital banner is to promote new flavours of the drink and encourage customers to try them out.
How it works?
The banner shows a grandpa that is bored and invites you to connect to a camera and make grandpa giggle to get a free bottle of Festis. You basically need to make a funny face or anything else that will make an old person laugh. The tricky part is that the judge is the same grandpa shown in the banner. He was watching the banner 3 hours a day for 2 weeks in a row and was sharing a message with people, who made him laugh. Once the message appeared on a screen, a lucky winner was able to enter his/hers mobile number and get a free drink voucher directly to their phone. The last thing left was go to the shop and select a free flavoured drink.
